Position Overview
We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with psychiatric experience for a part-time position, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role. In this position, you will evaluate, develop, and treat individuals, families, and teenagers, either in person or through our advanced telemedicine platform. You will provide comprehensive mental health services, including assessment, diagnosis, and medication management of mental health conditions. You will also collaborate closely with other medical and mental health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care Management & Documentation:
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine diagnosis and develop treatment plans.
Adhere to ethical medication management practices and established office protocols.
Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
Document clinical encounters in a timely and accurate manner.
Demonstrate expertise in various treatment methodologies and counseling techniques.
Consultation & Referral:
Seek consultations as needed to ensure quality care.
Facilitate ethical decision-making processes as appropriate.
Patient Education:
Use teaching-learning strategies to educate patients and their families, positively influencing health outcomes.
Communication & Team Collaboration:
Identify and address system-specific issues, working with colleagues to improve office operations.
Contribute actively to the continuous improvement of the practice.
Skills & Qualifications
Ability to make independent clinical decisions with confidence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A team player with the ability to work effectively with others.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for patient documentation.
Requirements
Experience: At least two years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting.
Education: Master's degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
Licensure & Certification:
Current and valid NP or PA license in California, free of disciplinary actions.
DEA registration.
