Job Description
Title: Instructional Designer
Location: Vienna, VA-Hybrid
Duration: 6-month contract to start
Compensation: $25-33/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Develop instructional courses tailored to desired learning outcomes that support employee learning and development. Quickly and efficiently learn and process large volumes of technical information, conducting research with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Increase efficiency and help produce error-free work through the creation of reference materials and support tools that reinforce training for team members.
Responsibilities: - eLearning course development experience, utilizing a variety of techniques to define and sequence instructional content
- Course authoring experience in Articulate 360 and familiarity with configuring and exporting SCORM packages
- Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management, relationship-building, collaboration, and written/verbal communication skills
- Strong conversational grammar and familiarity with using in-house style guides
- Ability to compile, organize, and present technical information clearly and concisely
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in Instructional Design, Education, Writing, Communication, Business, Behavioral Sciences, Training Development OR a related certification
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working as an in-house designer at large corporations is a plus, regardless of the industry
