Service Companion Dogs of America in Vista, CA is looking for dog trainers to join our 16-person strong team. We are located at 29976 Margale Ln, Suite A. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Puppy socialization, clicker training, walking dogs, training, feeding, & cleaning.
• Field trip outings for a variety of environmental exposure, socialization, and training.
• Observation of free-roam behaviors while implementing appropriate behavior modification techniques.
• Analysis of behaviors with the ability to articulate specific details.
• Ability to assess, create, and formulate curriculum agenda for each dog or puppy.

Qualifications

• Formal dog training experience and a wide range of canine behavior knowledge, husbandry, and dog training.

If you do not have any dog training experience and are willing to volunteer to pursue dog training experience, you may apply to our apprenticeship program which can lead to certifications, on-the-job training, or a position as a Trainer.
